A Shot at the Moon (One for Nancy)

Ok, I will take one shot at this, for those who will hear it.

#1 The NASA moon landing hoax controversy is, at it's roots, a
disinformation ploy. It is a well-known, but easily shot down
conspiracy theory which, in being debunked, will lead people to be
more reluctant to accept other (real and true) conspiracy stories. The
purpose of this exercise is to make all conspiracy theorists seem as
nutso as those fake-moon-landing idiots.

#2 The scares over gasoline prices (was going to be $3 a gallon this
summer, remember?) and the power crisis in California (which never
materialized), both, were contrived "news" stories. This was done in
order to expose people to FALSE scary predictions, so that they will
tend to discount other scary predictions.

Both of the above are intended to nudge public opinion toward ignoring
unusual or unpleasant stories, like Nancy Leider's, which does, in
fact, have it's basis in truth.

No, I did not get this from Nancy. I have no association with her.
Take it or leave it, as you may choose.
